is produced by sophisticated computers
and machines, it remains true that the
best stone carved lettering is still created
by a simple hammer and chisel in the
skilled hands of the lettercutting artist.

Peter Hampson's hand-produced stones are
individually designed in close consultation
with the commissioning client. Each letter
and symbol is then hand carved into the
stone, producing a unique piece.

He works on a wide range of commissions
for all domestic, architectural and
memorial purposes, including headstones,
standing stones, garden features, sundials,
wall plaques, house names and house
numbers.
